Types of CRM software

All-in-one platforms with a free entry point

HubSpot and Zoho CRM start with a free tier and add marketing, service and automation modules on the same record set. They suit teams that expect to widen the scope later, though each added hub or module changes the monthly bill and the admin workload.

Enterprise and customizable suites

Salesforce Sales Cloud and, in its own way, Insightly offer custom objects, permission models and large record limits. A company with several sales motions, territories or approval flows gets room to model them, but a person who understands the configuration has to own the system.

Pipeline-first tools for small sales teams

Pipedrive, Close and Freshsales center on deals, calls and email sequences rather than a sprawling object model. Reps see the next action quickly. Calling, SMS or sequences may be bundled or sold as add-ons, so check which ones the entry tier includes.

Flexible and workspace-based CRMs

Attio, monday CRM and Copper let teams shape the data model or boards themselves, and Copper sits inside Google Workspace. They fit startups and agencies that dislike rigid stages, but reporting and governance are lighter than in the enterprise suites.
